William Roy Brownridge ia a Canadian artist who was born in Rosetown, Saskatchewan, Canada in 1932. He was born with Spina Bifida and Club Feet. His first art lessons were by correspondence. Later, he studied for four years in graphic design, Institute of Technology & Art Calgary (1953/57), and two summer painting workshops, U of S Emma Lake. (Will Barnett/ Ken Lochead). He went on to work at Francis/Williams/Johnson, Advertising & Public Relations, as artistic/creative director. (1970/95)

Bill is a published author. In 1975/76, he received a Canada Council Grant to paint vanishing prairie railway buildings/men and these paintings and interviews formed the basis of a coffee table book: Tracking The Iron Horse.

Three children?s books published, - (Orca) The Moccasin Goalie series. (1995/2002) His new book (self published) is; The Boy Who Wouldn?t Fight. (2014)

Bill continues to paint and exhibit widely since 1975, and is represented by a number of galleries.
