Laugh Comics
First Issue
Laugh Comics was a comic book produced by Archie Comics from 1946 to 1987. The title began with issue #20 (continuing the numbering from Black Hood Comics, and before that The Hangman, and before that Special Comics) and showcased some of the early appearances of the "Archie gang."

The first issue of this comic series is titled Special Comics and was printed in Winter 1942, then Archie Comics changed the title to The Hangman for issues 2 though 8, then issues 9 to 19 are titled Black Hood Comics, and then the rest of the series is titled Laugh Comics.

Beginning with issue #145, Josie began making semi-regular appearances (some of her earliest), with art by Dan DeCarlo. The series finally concluded with issue #400 in 1987. A second volume, titled simply Laugh, appeared a few months later, lasting until August 1991.
