Cimiteria Comic Book History

Cimiteria
First Issue
Cimiteria is a pornographic adult horror comic series published in Italy from 1977 to 1984.

The series was published for 119 issues. It was designed by Carlo Panerai, Di Stefano, Todaro, Nisco and Studio Leonetti while the covers were drawn by Emanuele Taglietti, Alessandro Biffignandi and Germano Bonazzi. The series was reprinted several times: at the end of the seventies in the series I Nobel del Comics, in the eighties in the series Super Cimiteria and Orrornero and in the nineties in the series Star Series and Silver Series. In 2018, new stories were made with the same characters.

The story is about a young girl who died for unspecified reasons. She is buried in a cemetery whose keeper is a deformed hunchback with necrophilic tendencies, named Quasimodo. He exhumes her body so that he can join her carnally. She is brought back to life, with the help of magical rites and an electrical machine. The creator of the machine is a necrophile named John Finimore, who was persecuted for his sexual preferences.

As a consequence of the electricity used to resurrect her, the girl, is renamed Cimiteria. She initially has the deadly characteristic of being able to electrocute anyone who tries to have vaginal intercourse with her.
