Dr. Ava Cadell (born June 15, 1956) is a former actress and currently a therapist and speaker on issues of sexuality. She is also known as Eva Chatt.

Cadell was born in Budapest, Hungary. She developed a reputation as a “love guru,” media-wise sex therapist, writer and public speaker. That sexology would command the later life of a former Hollywood actress with more than 20 film and television appearances to her credit is probably no surprise, mainly because Cadell’s screen roles usually exploited her exotic good looks and voluptuous physique - one which also led to her becoming a Page 3 Girl.

The former cinema sex kitten, who later made the transition to portraying alluring women, has a resume that stretches from 1979 to 1998. Her film credits include Mel Brooks’ History of the World: Part I (1981), Smokey and the Bandit, Part 3 (1983), the German-made Euer Weg führt durch die Hölle (1984), the Arnold Schwarzenegger action flick Commando (1985), producer-director Andy Sidaris’ thriller Fit to Kill (1993) and also TV episodes of Mickey Spillane's Mike Hammer (1984), Arthur Hailey's Hotel (1984), Dallas (Dallas TV series) (1984) and The Love Boat (1985).

Eventually, Cadell left the performance side of Hollywood behind and made a career shift, turning her energies to the study of personal relationships and sexual fulfillment. She obtained a doctorate in human behavior from Newport University (California) and later a doctorate of education in human sexuality from the Institute for Advanced Study of Human Sexuality in San Francisco. She then embarked upon teaching, writing and lecturing, based out of Los Angeles. Through her private practice, Cadell counsels individuals and couples on personal issues ranging from anger management and fear of intimacy to lack of communication and lack of desire.

Cadell has authored seven books covering various aspects of relationships and sex. In her capacity as a celebrity sex therapist, she has appeared on numerous national TV shows, including "Good Morning America," "Extra," "Montel Williams" and "Geraldo," as well as in documentaries and news reports on major broadcast networks and cable programming outlets, including CNN, MSNBC, NBC, ABC, FOX, MTV, VH1, The Discovery Channel, Lifetime and A&E.

Cadell is highly sought-after as a speaker in the U.S., Canada, Europe, Africa and Asia. She lectures to Fortune 500 companies, religious groups, medical institutes and colleges, drawing enthusiastic crowds. Cadell's stated mission is to promote the benefits of healthy love and shared intimacy around the globe.

As an extension of her presence in the sex therapy field, Cadell has founded Loveology University—the "on-line university of love coaching"—through which she imparts her knowledge to motivated students who will follow her career path to become "Loveologists."

Cadell, a certified sex counselor, enjoys professional affiliations with the American Association of Sexuality Educators Counselors and Therapists (AASECT), the Society for the Scientific Study of Sexuality (SSSS) and the Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS), as an accredited continuing educator.
