EDITORIAL
OneWoman:
Not just the name of this magazine, but of the dream every man has of finding one woman perfect for him. And the dream every woman has of being found. We used to think life always worked out that way, now we only wish it were so. There is no dream like it, and that dream is bound up with this magazine, which seeks to bring out the reality of one beautiful woman's inner life, along with photographic pieces of the dream—the fleeting faces and moods of the fantasy that she embodies.
Our very first One Woman is beautiful, fascinating Morgan Fairchild. The real Morgan appears here in her own words, made more real by her own candor and the skill of veteran interviewer Larry DuBois. And the fantasy Morgan appears in the marvelous pictures of six great photographers who have fulfilled our grandest plan—giving you a beautiful magazine. That, more than anything else, is what ONE WOMAN means to be. But it hopes to be more than that too, just as the dream is more than any one man (or one photographer) can embrace: MORT PERSKY
