This is certainly one of the best books of Assimil I've used so far! Texts were nice, introducing useful expressions and providing further examples in the notes thus extending the scope of usage of the constructions. The grammatical material and the complexity of the texts advance smoothly through the course. The edition also contains small extracts from literary works, presents texts about different parts of the country, focusing on their cultural features. In this way, the reader has the chance to have his own travel through the country and the language, enjoying the process of assimilating not only the language but some features of 'its atmosphere', too.
