About the Author:
Mr. Alfonso E. Panico is the author of Italians of the New New Haven. He is on the board of directors of the Italian-American Historical Society of New Haven, Connecticut, and a member of the National Italian American Foundation. He is past President, past General Chairman and past Chairman of the board of the Columbus Day Committee Inc. of New Haven. Mr. Panico has been the Connecticut correspondent of the only national Italian daily newspaper Il Progresso and of America Oggi since 1974. He has been very active in the Italian American community for many years promoting the Italian heritage and culture.
