Please read chapter 4 before you buy (that's where we stopped). This paraphrase sucks everything out of the stories has to do with blood, killing or, well, any of the difficult realities of the Bible world and times. The book is billed as appropriate for 7-10 year olds. But it probably has worth only for 5 & 6 year olds. This is an extremely anemic gloss on the greatest book of all time.
