Cool book! I really like when the concept of the book is well chosen and meaningful. In this case, this was fulfilled with a variety of descriptions, citations from history and well-chosen examples. There is no unique attitude to what arts do to us in society. Rather, we have a sociological understanding of arts as a socially constituted institution that changes in history and varies in geography.
