As the different wars in the area began, the heart of the land began to crack, the cracks turned to ravines, and finally the pieces of the heart began to fall away. The blood flowed unceasingly. Still, perhaps through the grace of miracles, the heart is not destroyed. The heart survives. This is the miracle of the Bosnian Muslim. Of all the people I have met in the nation of Bosnia, says Gresham, I found the Bosnian Muslims to be the heart of this great land.
