When animals from the zoo go missing, Spider-Man decides to check it out. He knows that something strange must be up. But he doesn t expect to find Kraven the Hunter waiting for a fight!
Another Superhero who starred in the comic books of my childhood was Spider-Man. He is another superhero like Superman who lives a dual life. In this case Peter Parker is really Spider-Man. They share similarities in that they both work for newspapers, but Peter is a photographer and Clark Kentaka Supermanis a reporter. The story is familiar in that someone has been committing a crime, specifically stealing rare animals from the zoo. Spiderman tries to catch Kraven in one of his webs, but Kraven breaks loose. Then a struggle ensues and Spiderman avoids becoming another specimen in Kraven's collection. Kraven ends up in a cage and Spider-Man aka Peter Parker gets his pictures for the newspaper story. The full-color illustrations have a computer generated look. For parents there is a note at the front of the book with suggestions for using this Level 2 book in the "I Can Read!" series.
