Rick and Bubba's Big Honkin' Book of Grub Book

Rick & Bubba's Big Honkin' Book of Grub by Rick Burgess & Bill "Bubba" Bussey with Martha Bolton is in a way, a totally different book then what I expected it to be. What did I expect it to be? Well, I expected a book of Recipes for Guys (which there are some - 24 to be exact) and some humorous rants on food and eating. That's what I would expect from the self-proclaimed "sexiest fat men in America" but, if you flip the script and have more ranting and less recipes - that is this book.

I had never heard of Rick and Bubba before but it seems like they have a Radio Show and love talking about and eating food. And this book, I would say, is their "Manifesto" to save their beloved favorite foods from the "man" of the restaurant. It is a book that covers a lot of ground - from basic food to church pot lucks to where to dine to food eating contests to some recipes - which I am looking forward to trying out.

They even have a "Rick and Bubba's no-fail Weight Loss Program within this book. They also give you the lowdown on some of their favorite Food fairs and festivals.

Overall, it is a fun and light read but if you are looking for a cookbook - this is not it - it a book in praise of Grub. So if you love Grub you might love this Book.
