Love among Greats Book

I saw a review of Pearlman's latest collection of short stories so figured I would start with her award-winning first collection. Well just about every site that sold the very short paperback book had it priced at least $40 or more, which made it all the more intriguing! Hopefully the original publisher will reprint these now that there is some renewed interest in her - I got my copy at the library.

These stories really are vividly rendered and some even link the same characters through a couple of the stories. They're all domestic settings but not cliche or trite and the characters all have unique personalities that are drawn swiftly and skillfully. This sounds very dry but I really like the stories but was able to admire her technique at the same time. I definitely will be picking up Honeydew in the near future!
