"This was my childhood fantasy come true. I was overwhelmed by Lego. This wasn't like stepping into a massive house made out of Lego. It was like being shrunk and stepping into a tiny Lego-scale house. Everything was Lego. Walls, floor, chairs, tables, newspaper. Cat. Light fittings. A kitchen with Lego toaster. Some years ago I watched the BBC series James May's Toy Stories. Taking classic toys, James May and his teams of volunteers made those objects you would have loved as a kid: a Plasticine garden entered in the Chelsea Flower Show, a spanning bridge made from Meccano, a Scaletrix race around a village.
And a house made entirely from Lego.
"James May's Lego House", found in my local library, showcases the build and the joy of embracing childhood.
A lovely book for Lego aficionados, and those who remember Lego fondly.
