A bit repetitive and could use some additional context on the history of jurists, but overall a thorough and insightful history of juristic discourse on rebellion in Islamic law. A fascinating look at the difference between rebellion and banditry, and the grey area between. The author argues compellingly that juristic discourse is continually evolving and adapting to the times.
