It is a nonfiction book which the writer illustrates issues of racism in Major League Baseball in America. Issues that were present in the 19th century during the early days of baseball, and they are still present today. The "hope" that was "Unborn" in America for these Americans died, because they never had a chance.
The book discusses the roles that were played in Major League Baseball by African-Americans and Hispanics. It suggests solutions to some of the problems of baseball currently, and attempts to bring together the community of baseball today. It is a book for all Americans.
