Hollywood Arms Book

A surprise heartbreaker with a ton of potential. It doesn't always stick the landing but it errs heavily on the side of realism and every ounce of it feels genuine. Featuring overly verbose stage directions.

Hollywood arms is a great story about a family that moved to California from Texas and is struggling to re-connect. This is a dramatic read with a lot of unique characters that really develop relationships in the readers eyes. When I was reading Hollywood Arms, I got a really personal connection with the story. In this story, a mother and daughter's relationship is interrupted by a grandmother who wants to take care of the daughter, and takes her from the mother. The mother eventually gets involved in her child's life, but there is always tension between the mother and grandmother. This happened to me and my mother and grandma, so I really liked this book because of the personal connection that I made with it. There is dramatic turns at many points, along with a lot of humorous moments. All in all a great book because of the realism that it brings to the table rather than the usual fantastical fiction that is most commonly read. I really like this read, and I would recommend it to anybody.
