Papers collected here were presented at an August 2000 conference entitled Turbine-2000: International Symposium on Heat Transfer in Gas Turbine Systems, sponsored by the International Center for Heat and Mass Transfer and held in Turkey. Keynote papers examine models of secondary flows, boundary layer transition, measurements of film cooling performance, and recent work on rotostator systems with ingress/egress of hot gas into the wheel-space cavity. Specific topics include cooling systems for ultra-high temperature turbines, jet- impingement heat transfer in gas turbine systems, surface temperature mapping of gas turbine blading by high-resolution pyrometry, and the effects of entrance cross-flow directions to film cooling holes. A brief panel discussion discusses future needs on gas turbine heat transfer. This work lacks a subject index.
