Equations of State for Solids in Geophysics and Ceramic Science
As stated, the main value of this book is as a complementary source, not as a reference to be used as a main text on a course. However, the author gives lengthy discussions of basic topics (as the zeroth law) that shouldn't be found on a book about Methods of Thermodynamics.
On the other hand, it also contains really good insights and novel approaches to subtle and essential themes; e.g. the role of constraints and potentials.
In balance, this is a book where you'll have to read a lot to find the useful material, which is something different from what I expected after reading the prologue.
