You would think that after 5 books I would get tired of the simple story of Dorothy. Nope! I love it more and more. I am a member of the Pardonville community... or so I think. I love that in this series the story picks up right where it left me from the previous book. Not much time lapses between and in the books.
This story picks up right after the Thanksgiving feast and events. And now setting up for Christmas and wondering if traditions will remain or be different now that Dorothy doesn't live out on Crooked Creek Farms. Katie is also in the middle of the community drama with the mini mall she is trying to plant in her fellow neighbor's hearts. It isn't easy to push a mule. She has to go about things in a creative and heart driven way.
