Costume History and Style
A terrific read, not just a crafty/sewing/re-making book at all. All kinds of great historical and interesting tidbits are woven into the artist's explanations of why they are driven to make new things out of old. A great combination of how-to and what-if. My only beef is the photography, which didn't always clearly show the great projects they were presenting. Great close-ups in several cases, but no overall shot. Recommended if you're interested in working with unusual materials in new and unexpected ways.
