Clandestine Cover-Up Book

We actually met Tamara Jacoby in the author's previous book, "Fugitive Family." By the way, that's an excellent book and I highly recommend it! It's about her sister and husband, Alex. Very intense book! This book was a bit dark and creepy at times.

After a stalking experience that left attorney, Tamara Jacoby, shaken, she moves to a quiet town in Nebraska where her sister assures her she'll be safe. But she buys an old church and soon the warnings start - she's not wanted and is threatened to be killed if she doesn't leave. Vince happens by when her first warning is displayed and they become partners - trying to get to the truth. What deep, dark secret does this old house have that cannot be revealed?

Several characters played into this story. It was interesting to see how it all went together. I knew what had happened as soon as the storm came - had it figured out, but not everything.

The romance was again a sub-plot in this story. I thought this couple should have gotten together during all that was happening instead of finding reasons why they couldn't, but then that's just me...

Great suspense though!
