At Home in the Vineyard: Cultivating a Winery, an Industry, and a Life Book

Essentially a memoir of the woman who, along with her husband, started one of Oregon's first vineyards. Along with her personal story, there are tidbits about the evolution of the wine industry in Oregon, although it is not a very complete picture. The fist 2/3 of the book went along pretty well and I enjoyed reading it, thinking about what it would entail to start a vineyard and run a winery. I appreciated hearing about the business side of things (as in, it isn't easy to make money bottling fermented grape juice, even when you start when land is absurdly cheap and you're surrounded by other people embarking on the same adventure). Towards the end of the book, I started to feel like it became more about the author than the winery, and I was much more interested in the winery. A good short read though if you're thinking about starting your own vineyard and want a slightly less romantic view of it.
