Angels on the Edge of the World: Geography, Literature, and English Community, 1000-1534
I must confess, the Ruodlieb is not my favourite text to read. I find it strange and too fragmentary, but Grocock's edition and translation is by for the best English version. The introduction is scholarly and the text and translation are well done. If you must endure the torture of this early German romance, this is the version to try.
