A nice little collection of oral histories of Madison in the early-mid 20th century. I enjoyed reading all of the women's stories and learned some great things about the city!
I would have liked to see a little more racial diversity in the selection of stories, but I suppose the editor might have been hampered by the volunteers she received. I also wish each chapter was a little longer, or that more women might have been involved--I'd happily have read a collection twice this length. :)
