My first time reading a book of this nature. I was surprised that it is a history compiled of photographs! It does make the narrative of Wichita emerging from the 19th into the 20th century all the more real and evocative to pair the text with images. Faces, locations, semi-recognizable landmarks--this was definitely an interesting read and got me more acquainted with the city.
