The increasing use of lasers and laser-related technologies in biological and medical research has brought great advances in recent years, with the use of lasere microspot irradiation of cells in cell surgical processing, photochemical processing and spectroscopic analysis, as well as in microscopic processes such as micropreparation, micromanipulation, microdissection and microinjection. The study discusses the implications of these new technidques in life sciences, through their current uses in cytology.
