Ready I used Tan's book to help me prepare for university level calculus - to revise pre-calculus algebra and become familiar with basic calculus concepts such as limits, derivatives, integrals etc. Tan's text and examples are very clear - I rarely had to refer to other texts to try and understand what was being said - and the exercises are very helpful, just a shame only half the answers (to odd questions) are given with the book. A good resource if you are trying to teach yourself basic calculus.
