Review # 1 was written on 2016-02-21 00:00:00 Dees Deeds The timetables in this book show general developments along with specific discoveries in eight branches of science and technology from 2.4 million years ago to 1988. Although it is now easily outperformed by Wikipedia for accuracy and depth it gives a solid impression of the increasing pace of discovery and innovation from the dawn of civilisation to the modern age. I still enjoy dipping into it, not least because it is staggering how far science has come since the last discovery recorded.

Review # 2 was written on 2015-04-13 00:00:00 Jae Schon It is sad when authors try to give us "new" history. For instance Albert Speer was never a member of the NAZI-party. You only have to read Speer's "Inside the Third Reich". At Nürnberg he was found not guilty on the charge of belonging to the NAZI-party. So why the author mentions briefly that Speer was a member is totally the opposite to what history teaches us. Just had to get that off my chest.
