This series, man, it's hitting me right in the feels. I just love everyone so freaking much. I love the introduction of Wilma into the story as she is one of my icons, it was so heartwarming to see how desperately she wanted to be part of the gang and that she was just lacking friends in general. My sweet summer child. I also love how the dynamic between Trude and Melanie has changed a bit, as the former has become a lot more independent. However, the fathoming in regards to Trude (and Steve) is still very prevalent (up to the point that Melanie actually says at one point: "What? Should I pretend that Trude is *not* fat? Like you guys do. That won't help her.") which just annoys the shit outta me. I mean: 11-year-olds and dieting, how the fuck does that go together? Apart from that, I'm enjoying my reread tremendously though. The adventures (aka the ghost hunting) during their class trip were super fun to witness and I loved seeing the beginning of the relationship between Willi and Melanie. Willie is just my trash child and I want the fucking best for him! Frieda is still my badass queen, way too mature and generous for her age, but that's why we love her. And Sprotte is just Sprotte, sometimes hella annoying but the series wouldn't be the same without her!
