Review # 1 was written on 2014-12-10 00:00:00 Marci Hughes This book is exactly what it says it is, a collection of newspaper clippings on the topic of pro football covering the sport's earliest days in the late nineteenth century up to the late 1970s. The clippings cover the major games and events of each passing season and it's fun to observe how sports reporting and newspapers changed over the years. However, with the coming of the internet and easy access to newspaper archives, the book's utility has diminished to nothing. A period piece, no more.

Review # 2 was written on 2018-02-18 00:00:00 Richard Bowen I listened to this book, not read it. It served its purpose of keeping me awake at work while also being an interesting snapshot of Scottish history. It's a good place to start, and I would be delving more into certain topics the book discussed.
