Review # 1 was written on 2015-01-19 00:00:00 Phillip Goldring An embarassing and enlightening litany of American Indian mistreatment. I found especially compelling the primary sources: letters, please, and other documents written by Native Americans and those that treated with them from the 1760s to 1960s. Vogel opted for a curious "exhibition" format where each sort section is numbered and presented with little commentary as an exhibit in a legal case, or something. This does make it easy to break off the small chunks of this large book to get through the large tome. |
Review # 2 was written on 2013-04-21 00:00:00 James Philip Alonzo Required for a history class. Comprehensive text spanning multiple cultural, socio-political, and economic events and influences. Well-organized, compelling content. |
