Review # 1 was written on 2010-08-07 00:00:00 Joe Wilkinson A little out of date (no surprise; it was published in 1998) and aimed at ex-pats living in Tokyo. That said, I still got some great ideas for exploring Tokyo while there for a week with my 1.5- and 4-year-old. Definitely does a good job of relaying the challenges of different areas and helping you survive them.

Review # 2 was written on 2017-02-02 00:00:00 Cindy Biggers Frommers are the best overall guide to plan a trip. Other guides do a better job with illustrations and photos (none in Frommers), but the detail on hotels, etc. is a good starting point. This guide to Tokyo had three well-done walking tours in neighborhoods - wish there were more. A good portion of the book is online at Frommers.com.
