Review # 1 was written on 2008-01-14 00:00:00 Howard Kim This is a book by photographer Marc Joseph that is mostly sublime color images of used bookstgores, used record stores, and intimate details from inside these stores. It also contains poetry and prose pieces, including pieces by Lydia Davis, Jonathan Lethem, and Shelley Jackson. An oversize book with a textured cloth cover ... as the LA Times Book Review put it, you have to thoroughly "engage with" this book in order to read/view its contents.

Review # 2 was written on 2008-04-27 00:00:00 Daniel McGovern The photos of book and record shops were less documentarian than expected. The prose pieces range from delightful (Jonathan Lethem on used bookstores) to pretentious (Stephanie Snyder, Lydia Davis).
