Review # 1 was written on 2011-03-24 00:00:00 Gary Stavropoulos This is a very practical book for scientists and researchers needing to get things done. Python is introduced in a very pragmatic and elegant way for typical scientific tasks (typical file reading/parsing scripting, numeric processing, optimization, mathematical processing, etc.). I wished I had this book 5 years ago, would recommend it to any starting researcher (or researcher looking for an adequate environment to glue his computational research efforts).
