Review # 1 was written on 2018-10-06 00:00:00 Trevor Talbott Okay, so this was more of a textbook than an encyclopedia, as compared to the other book I read recently "Flying Machines: Past, Present and Future". I would say there are too many mathematical caculations for me, but someone else might find them interesting. I am not sure 1908 understanding of air and fluid dynamics holds up over time, but I am sure many formulas could be the same. The author is more interested in the science than the romance of flight.
