Review # 1 was written on 2016-07-06 00:00:00 Mark Sykes Most modern organic chemistry books cover retrosynthetic analysis by mentioning it, sometimes even dedicating a chapter to it. For a skill so fundamental to organic synthesis, this is not enough. In this excellent work, ample examples and exercises are given and discussed, and as a reader you progressively build up an intuitive sense of retrosynthesis. You will never look at your molecules the same way again.
