Review # 1 was written on 2017-11-06 00:00:00 Jesse MacDonald By the time I read this book, I was past my first year of living with macular degeneration. But, I still found Daniel Robert's advice quite useful. And, his website, is a great help to those who new to living with AMD as well. I recommend this book to anyone who is either living with macular degeneration. And, it is a good resource for caregivers as well. |
Review # 2 was written on 2020-01-14 00:00:00 Kit Ping Ling I was just diagnosed with wet macular degeneration before Thanksgiving, 2019. I am devastated and wanted to know more. This book may be more dated than some but it is in LARGE PRINT. That fact alone makes so much sense. I have had two shots and my vision is improved, I can still drive legally and I now qualify for cataract surgery to clear up the dark spots. This book was so much more helpful than the ones with the squinty print. And the author wrote from his own experience. It was a practical guide to getting on with it and clearing the way at home so I wouldn't fall, burn myself or eat the wrong stuff. I am buying an extra copy for a friend. |
