Review # 1 was written on 2015-04-01 00:00:00 Randy Novak Useful for those interested in matrices and their applications. I was looking for a little more in-depth discussion of groups and their use. The book had a very limited discussion of groups despite the title. Some of the exercises were interesting, highlighting atypical cases rather than standard uses. |
Review # 2 was written on 2012-07-17 00:00:00 Michael Erwin I have found this an immensely suggestive book, collecting as it does essays from both prominent and rising figures in feminist philosophy of knowledge--albeit from about two decades ago. I am struck by how little impact feminist thought, even of this high and generally temperate quality, has had on evangelical theology, to the shame of my guild. If you're new to the idea, let alone the discourse, of feminist epistemology, this is an excellent place to start. |
