Review # 1 was written on 2013-12-15 00:00:00 Neal Secrist If you are trying to learn linear algebra with this book without a teacher you are SCREWED. The way it is written is horrendously confusing if you are reading the book to learn the content for the first time. There are sometimes jumps in logic that make what is being written difficult to follow. However, if you learn the concepts first and then read the book I don't think it will be a big issue. Also the "with applications" thing can be annoying. Sometimes I just want to learn the math and not the history of the math. History of math has it's place, but gets kind of annoying when you are trying to learn the math concepts.
