Review # 1 was written on 2012-08-25 00:00:00 Shawn Harrison This book is a little stale, but it's a great idea. I'm working on a paper that discusses the relationship between anger and masculinity and this was a really interesting citation. The basic argument is that public expressions of anger have become less common throughout U.S. history. These two psychologists trace the history of how this happened as well as the effects that it's having. It's interesting that the "public expressions of anger" that they discuss were largely men, but gender is not significantly addressed in this book. |
Review # 2 was written on 2021-01-27 00:00:00 Steven Muniz A historical account of anger in America. Reading this for my dissertation. |
