Review # 1 was written on 2016-03-15 00:00:00 Lars Peter Bundgaard Kathleen Cochrane's other notable works included academic papers, and it's no surprise. This biography was interesting, because it was about an interesting subject, but very little personal warmth seems to have been injected into it. I would recommend it purely for the small analysis of her poetry at the end, written by another great Australian poet, Judith Wright. |
Review # 2 was written on 2014-02-18 00:00:00 Johnny Miller Kamara Funny but accurate introduction to italian postwar politics, of course having the book been written in 1989 it only covers events up to Craxi's rise to power but it is nonetheless a great read both for italians and foreigners alike. Italians may find it a bit stereotypical, but not wrong, and the author manages to debunk some myths about immobilism and ineffectiveness of italian political system |
