Review # 1 was written on 2011-04-15 00:00:00 Jessica Damper A fast read, with short chapters, that really doesn't add too much to the anecdotes and stories you could find elsewhere about Admiral McCain. Which is a disappointment, as he is the least known of the fleet commanders, being outshown by Mitscher, Spruance, and certainly Halsey. It's still a fun read. |
Review # 2 was written on 2020-11-05 00:00:00 Richard Phillips This is a very good book. Could have been done much faster if I hadn't stopped to read another in the middle of all this. It did become a little repetitious, as it is a serious of articles/essays from varying viewpoints on both the feasibility and morality of such an undertaking. |
