Review # 1 was written on 2016-01-19 00:00:00 Thomas Buckley This was a great book that presented wonderful profiles on the lives of inspiring American individuals.

Review # 2 was written on 2016-09-17 00:00:00 Ed Galvin This book was fine. This time period really interests me; however, when I started the book I wasn't thinking much about how young the author was when her family left the USSR. Her memories are nicely told, but it is, of course, not a very in-depth look at what it was like to live in the Soviet Union at that time. I'd be much more interested in an adult perspective on that life. Obviously I'm not the intended audience, so this might be a good intro into life behind the Iron Curtain for younger students who have no concept of that time period.
