Review # 1 was written on 2012-02-28 00:00:00 Gregory Shrock In general the explanations and the depth of knowledge displayed in this book were good. More complicated concepts that required detailed formulas (such as Darcy's Law, or Normal/Shear stresses and strengths)were not quite up to par, as in they didn't seem to explain some of the more basic principles and concepts that need to be understood when doing strengths, volume/flow analysis and using the Mohr Circle. But again,, in general the effectiveness of this book was quite exceptional considering the wide range of topics it covers.
