Review # 1 was written on 2018-04-14 00:00:00 Anthony Giorgio Such a great read! This book focuses on an ancient Baobab tree in the African plains. I loved how it showed how this tree can impact so many lives, as well as a resource for so many animals and humans in Africa. In my opinion this book can be read for ages 5 and up, all age groups would enjoy this book. This book uses formal writing, but is not overly difficult or tiresome for children to read. Children will definitely stay interested because of the colorful illustrations of the environment and the animals.

Review # 2 was written on 2017-08-22 00:00:00 Robin Reichard Poetic text introduces readers to the baobab tree of Africa, the creatures that frequent it, and legends about it. There isn't a ton of text, but this does a good job of showing the role of the baobab tree in its ecosystem and introducing readers to a most curious looking plant. Good pick for plant units, ecosystem units, and Africa units. There's further information on some of the organisms introduced in the back of the book.
