Review # 1 was written on 2009-06-28 00:00:00 Dee Dee As a Behaviorist myself, I'm always looking for new and innovative methods to add to my knowledge base. This book was quite good, but I think it's more for the dog owner who is looking for answers to every day problems. I liked the fact that Ms. Schwartz utilized only positive training techniques. I think it's important for people to remember that dogs have feelings and memories. If you continually lay an unkind hand to them in an attempt to break a negative behavior, don't be surprised when your dog becomes afraid of you and starts showing more severe negative behaviors. (i.g., Submissive Urination) All in all, this is a good book with solid tips for training.

Review # 2 was written on 2012-11-19 00:00:00 Michael Knowles Okay, done with the doggie how-to books for a while! Repetition at this point. I do recommend this second book of Schwartz that I've read and enjoyed. Clear, easy to read and follow -- it helped. Would have helped even more if it had been one of the first I read.
