While experts in the field would inevitably find it superficial, it is nevertheless a wonderfully compact resource for potential travellers. Good descriptions with excellent pictures to help explain key elements that define architectural schools and styles.

Review # 2 was written on 2012-11-06 00:00:00 Elvin Parson a great overview and pocket guide to historical architecture themes. it's slim, which detracts from its ability to expand on each concept -- an index cross-listed for both location and style would have been ideal, though would have increased in the book twofold surely. but attractive and portable - both good things.
