George Vranesh was a leading practitioner of water law in Colorado for over 30 years until his death in the 1990s. Prior to his passing, he published the first comprehensive treatise on Colorado water law. This book is an updated version of Vranesh's original. It covers the subject in a competent, though not outstanding, manner. The book has not been updated since around 2005, which is a problem. Many statutory and judicial developments in water law have taken place since that time. At one point, this book could be a good place to begin in studying an issue arising under Colorado water but its utility steadily has decreased with the passage of time.

A clear and comprehensive account of NF's history, with well-placed criticisms of the province's labour conditions and administrative neo-nationalist sentiments etc
