Half of this book deals with thermodynamics- lots of examples on heat transfer calculations. Probably more useful as a reference for current processing engineers on the days they can't recall the equations back from school. This is the most comprehensive book written on the topic if you want to learn about the technical part of the industry.

This book has chapters written by different authors therefore the content depends on how well each author wrote. The writing is mostly formal , yet speaks at you while being informative. The first chapter was fairly repetitive with the word 'however,'. Luckily the other sections were written expertly. There are pictures and the research is present and not bias. That is a good thing , but it can get confusing if you just want a strait answer. The other thing is a lot of the reading is quite dry. Nevertheless this is a good book and it has a lot of subjects to choose from .
